Jesus is Christmas?

Every year it feels like the commercialism of Christmas starts earlier and earlier. From the End of October / early November our shops are being filled with trees, tinsel and laser lights, our facebook feeds get flooded with Jesus is the reason for the season pictures, with the odd statements about keeping Christ in Christmas thrown in for good measure, but have you ever stopped to ask yourself why? Why do we say it to ourselves every year? Why do we celebrate? Why do we make a big deal about December 25^th? I mean it is not really Jesus birthday*.

So why does the church and faith communities make a big deal about it. Well that is what we are exploring at Brookside leading up to December 25^th, Christmas Day.

So why not join us as we unpack how Jesus’ birth is about how God is in control.
